Diet-data.info was started because I felt frustrated by the lack of actual, real-world information regarding body changes on different diets. Most literature on the effects of diets on human body composition are vague with small sample sizes, or the information is too difficult for the layperson to understand and actually use. After reading article upon article, and experimenting with many different diets through the years, I decided I would publish my results to the world so people could really see what I do, how I do it, and how it affects my body composition. By seeing a real example, those who are following a similar path may compare their progress with my own. Eventually, I hope to have diet data from many people on multiple types of diets so that the day-to-day trends may be analyzed and concrete numbers may be available to everyone. Diets are not limited to weight-loss diets- all data regarding diet composition and how it affects body composition is welcome. My hope is that with this information, dieters can finally compare diets side-by-side and evaluate their efficacy using concrete evidence instead of hearsay. The more data we gather, the more reliable the information.
